3. Holland Code Continued~ I think that this Holland Code very accurately summed me up. “A” is for people who aren’t into being monotonous and boring. I absolutely hate being bored. I like to do different things and experience different places. I want to live each day like it’s my last. I’m into doing things spontaneously. I wouldn’t want to spend the rest of my life in a job I didn’t absolutely love. “S” is for social. would hate to not have contact and friends at work. I’d need to always be around people and chit-chat with them. I don’t necessarily want to have fun at work (I know that’s not what work is about) but I’d like to have lasting friendships. And “I” means investigative, which means I like solving things and figuring out how things work and why things do what they do. I love learning about history and psychology and how the human mind works. I like to know reasons for things, but I like to have mystery in things as well. So maybe that means Investigative isn’t necessarily for me. I was a bit surprised that I got it. But I suppose it’s true in the sense that in my career, I’d like to diagnose diseases and cure patients, as well as find a way to teach children. I think that would be a very rewarding feeling. I want to have a job environment where there’s more or less a type of comradery where you can talk with people and joke around and have friendships. I would never want a work environment where I was sealed off by myself.
